Harmony | Grounding | Openness | Insight | Balance

About These Beads

The striking mix of pink and green in this unakite mala symbolises strong, harmonious relationships, and is helpful wherever positive personal interactions are important. Unakite stone helps to support a tolerant attitude and can promote understanding of another person's point of view. It balances relationships through the healthy expression of emotions. Unakite is also known as the stone of vision, balancing emotions with spirituality.  It can also symbolise rebirth and transformation. This unakite necklace is a lovely gift for a woman who has experienced major changes in her life- from reaching womanhood to becoming a mother or at the commencement of menopause. Unakite corresponds to the zodiac sign of Scorpio and Cancer. You can read more about unakite stone meaning here.

Our unakite necklace can be used as a connection to your heart-inspired intentions or to support mindfulness during meditation and mantras. However the mala beads are used, they are a beautiful blessing for harmony, grounding, openness, insight and balance.

These stones are ethically sourced. Our mala beads are made by a small and highly skilled group of bead-making artisans. They continue to practice a craft first used during the Indus Valley Civilisation, over 5000 years ago. Each sale supports sustainable income and fair living wages for these artisan communities. Your purchase also supports the preservation of ancient culture and craft. Read more about our artisan partners here or see the rest of our crystal gifts here.

Our Maker Anwar Hussain Shaikh

At Ambarya, we feel deeply honoured to collaborate with artisans like Mr. Anwar Hussain Shaikh, a master bead maker from Khambhat, India, whose family has dedicated over 300 years to this intricate craft.

Taught by his father at the age of 12, Mr. Shaikh carries forward a craft rooted in the ancient traditions of the Indus Valley, his artistry recognised by national awards and celebrated worldwide.

Each generation, from grandfather to father, has preserved these rare skills, creating bead work that is both culturally rich and deeply meaningful. These beads serve as a bridge, connecting you to the mystical heritage of centuries past while offering guidance for your journey forward.

With a commitment to fair wages and ethical practices, Ambarya proudly supports artisans like Mr. Shaikh and when you purchase mala beads from Ambarya, you help protect a craft that might otherwise fade away, empowering individuals and communities alike.

Mala Bead Care

Our mala bead sets are high-quality pieces, handmade with care. However, we recommend looking after your beads to support their longevity.

  • It’s best not to wear the beads in the shower or for swimming regularly.
  • Avoid wearing them when you sleep or during exercise as they may get caught on something and break.
  • Bracelets should be gently rolled on and off the wrist. Avoid pulling on the elastic cord, as it can weaken over time.
  • Avoid exposure to chemicals or perfumes
  • Keep the beads in the pouch when you are not wearing or using them

If your beads are a little dirty from general wear, you can gently rinse them under warm water.  Avoid using any types of chemicals on your mala beads.
