These remarkable women handcraft each Mala with unwavering devotion, infusing them with benefits and positive vibes that resonate with their wearers. For these women, Mala making isn't just a skill; it's a lifeline. Each sale supports sustainable income and fair living wages for these women and their families. Our Maker YantraKart

At Ambarya, we celebrate the incredible artisans behind our mala beads, whose craftsmanship is steeped in a rich cultural heritage.

The YantraKart Mala Project, launched in 2015, empowers women from Rishikesh—an enchanting land known as the birthplace of Yoga and the sacred Ganges River.

Each mala is lovingly handcrafted with devotion, creating not just beautiful pieces but also imbuing them with positive energy and spiritual benefits for the wearer.

As artisans chant the Gayatri mantra with each knot, this traditional process transforms every bead into a powerful symbol of intention. It takes about 45 minutes to create a single mala, reflecting the care and commitment woven into each strand.

By purchasing from Ambarya, you not only acquire a beautifully crafted piece but also support the preservation of traditional artisan communities, ensuring fair living wages for these skilled makers.

Mala Bead Care

Our mala bead sets are high-quality pieces, handmade with care. However, we recommend looking after your beads to support their longevity.

  • It’s best not to wear the beads in the shower or for swimming regularly.
  • Avoid wearing them when you sleep or during exercise as they may get caught on something and break.
  • Bracelets should be gently rolled on and off the wrist. Avoid pulling on the elastic cord, as it can weaken over time.
  • Avoid exposure to chemicals or perfumes
  • Keep the beads in the pouch when you are not wearing or using them

If your beads are a little dirty from general wear, you can gently rinse them under warm water.  Avoid using any types of chemicals on your mala beads.
